Reading post one
I'm on page 105 of the order of deaths heads and it is detailed and heavily cited. each chapter has 100+ citations and sources. The book follows the nazi and ss rise to power from the end of WW1 to the end of WW2. So far I'm at the year 1934. The detail it goes into describing the people places and situations is incredible. Its nonfiction so its kinda hard to describe characters, but its talking about Hitler, Himmler, Rohm, and others of their ilk. It ranges all over Germany and Austria, so I guess thats setting. It explained the postwar feeling, the rise of the SA, the failed beerhall putsch, rebuilding period, the seizure of power, and the elimination of the SA, which I'm currently on.
