Claim/Duo

The elements that I witnessed in the upstate NY house were the walls, lighting, surrounding landscape, furniture, and technology level of the appliances. The walls were wood, but I can't tell what type or the stain, if any, that was used, although it looks aged to me, yet some rooms were almost hospital white. The lighting is heavily dependent on natural light in the pictures, but this may not be the case all the time. The house itself is surrounded by a garden close by, and a woods farther out. The furniture seems to change room to room, as one has a almost post-modern table and chair set in a white, almost sterile room, while another room had a formal appearing dinning table with wood walls, striking me as much more down to earth. In the same room, they have what on first perception seems to be a flat screen HD TV, with a wood burning stove next to it. The house mixes modern and classic overtones seen in the varying wall designs, furniture, and technology level, but there is a permeation of a rustic and artistic feel to the house because of the illustration the natural light and surrounding area provide.
