This smells interesting...

The games people play: I have fallen into the trap that is the video game of Skyrim. It has completely absorbed all of my free time, and there is such a massive amount of content to examine and observe. From the snow-capped mountains, to the frozen ocean in the north, to the lush lowlands of the south and all of the dungeons, the entire landscape is incredibly well designed and the game, along with all of the quest lines, is wonderfully executed.
Compare and contrast: My car, a 97 Blazer, is a hunk of junk. I recently had to rebuild the steering column; parts of the dashboard are hot glued into place, exposed wires explain the lack of sound from the back set of stereos, and the front right tire is actually my spare tire, because the original front right tire has no treads left, and I decided to swap them.  My friend, Mormon, parks next to me in the sophomore lot, and he is in a similar boat. The ceiling is falling, and he has some slight electrical problems. Comparing the two cars would be compelling and interesting.
Compare and contrast: There are many sites on the internet which belong to the chan family. From 4chan to 5chan, chan-chan, ponychan, and other board sites all have distinct factions, inside jokes, mods, admins, and codes. Taking a comprehensive look at these, it would be a trip to examine how they came to fragment like they did into as many different sites as there currently are.

Nummer Eins für Freitag

Looking at the blogs on the No White stone page, the two that stand out to me are http://realismisreal.blogspot.com/ which seems to be laid back and relaxed, almost conversation like with the usage of non IRL text.

http://wwwdancersmindblogspotcom.blogspot.com/  is very well organized and clear, where some of the blogs, mine included, are hard to read and should be changed slightly to allow easier access and usage.

Blogs on ....  has a very interesting claim for the dead poets society post and has a very good use of details and specifics.

After I get through the Thieves Guild quest line  on Oblivion tonight, I need to change my settings around.

The order of the Deaths Head 104-168

Well, changed my truck's tire last night, and this morning there was frost inside. That was an interesting drive. I have gotten through 1935 and the SS has totally seized power within the party. It has fully outlined the SA fall and the core of the ideology and ideas of the highest members of the SS. it is just now starting to introduce the SD, which was the police of the party.

Dead Poets society

The intro to the Dead Poets Society is in a quiet, stifled, church like, which fosters a very traditional and ceremonial feeling. The stone walls and candles as opposed to conventional electric lighting gives the induction ceremony a liturgical feel.  The homily that the headmaster gives is not normally seen in an opening day introduction. He is also shaking hands as people exit, very similar to a religious event, and the music is also nonexistent until the bagpipes and organs. The camera movement is sudden and jerky, which seems to convey an idea of nervousness. The lighting, camera movements, and attire of the attendees suggests a religious feeling.

Reading post one

I'm on page 105 of the order of deaths heads and it is detailed and heavily cited. each chapter has 100+ citations and sources. The book follows the nazi and ss rise to power from the end of WW1 to the end of WW2. So far I'm at the year 1934. The detail it goes into describing the people places and situations is incredible. Its nonfiction so its kinda hard to describe characters, but its talking about Hitler, Himmler, Rohm, and others of their ilk. It ranges all over Germany  and Austria, so I guess thats setting. It explained the postwar feeling, the rise of the SA, the failed beerhall putsch, rebuilding period, the seizure of power, and the elimination of the SA, which I'm currently on.

Claim/Duo

The elements that I witnessed in the upstate NY house were the walls, lighting, surrounding landscape, furniture, and technology level of the appliances. The walls were wood, but I can't tell what type or the stain, if any, that was used, although it looks aged to me, yet some rooms were almost hospital white. The lighting is heavily dependent on natural light in the pictures, but this may not be the case all the time. The house itself is surrounded by a garden close by, and a woods farther out. The furniture seems to change room to room, as one has a almost post-modern table and chair set in a white, almost sterile room, while another room had a formal appearing dinning table with wood walls, striking me as much more down to earth. In the same room, they have what on first perception seems to be a flat screen HD TV, with a wood burning stove next to it. The house mixes modern and classic overtones seen in the varying wall designs, furniture, and technology level, but there is a permeation of a rustic and artistic feel to the house because of the illustration the natural light and surrounding area provide.

Literacy Narrative

I was introduced to reading by my Mom by her reading out loud while my older brother was at school. She helped me work through everything from picture books to comprehensive historical essays. By the time I entered grade school, the trips to the library at school were always kind of weird. I was reading near middle school level by second grade, wrote my book reports on unabridged copies of novels like 20000 Leagues Under the Sea and Animal Farm, and read any chance I could get, sometimes to the ire of my teachers. I never really read very much at home because most of my free time was spent playing and messing around with my brother. While we normally did not talk about school work or learning, we were very competitive. This lead to an interesting contest on a road trip. He had a reading list for the summer and I was bored. So my mom made me a similar book list and challenged us to be the first one done. He was reading lower high school level books, and I was reading upper middle school  level books. He was on the last chapter of 1984 while I had just finished Das Boot. I was then able to gloat about it to him for the rest of the summer. I mostly read now to pass time during online games in between matches on Halo 3. I have recently started heavily reading fan fictions about My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. I plan on trying to achieve a history major and I also now have started heavily reading historical essays and research documents. I truly loathe Shakespeare.
